Some typical situations of the Baroque age compose “Baroque Festival”,
a theatre show that can be performed in every kind of place, both indoor and outdoor:
gardens, theatres, private residences, museums, restaurants, etc.

All mimic and singing, it can be shown for audiences of every nationality and culture:
actors overcome language limits and play some comic and romantic moments dressed in wonderful costumes made in accord with the extreme, beautiful and excessive Baroque style.

Beautiful and famous music by Haendel, Bach, Telemann, with arias from

Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart
are the soundtrack of a funny, evocative and foamy show.

Preparing the Banquet

The Marquis offers a big party for his guests and he wants a Banquet: his servants work hard because everything has to be perfect!

Cleaning the chandeliers, ironing the tablecloths, polishing the glasses! A lot of work for only two people…

The Marquis' greed

Everything is granted to a noble: to eat more and more, to mix ranges and foods, to drink and guzzle till dawn…

Countess’ poses

In order to be appreciated in high society it is necessary to know how to be set the right way: half coquetry and half sobriety.

The young Countess strikes poses…

Wooing

Complex etiquette and long-time ceremonials forced men and women in love to a series of expedients to get the attention of their better half.

The young Viscount, to the sound of the delicate minuet of Boccherini, dances, plays and walks to conquer the heart of beautiful Countess…

Serenade and Suicide

But she doesn't respond to his song. An affront that pushes him to kill himself by any means necessary: from  poison to sausages...

Viscount’s Visions

The naïve Viscount cannot reach his goal but he only gets drunk: under the influence of wine he sees monsters, weird and magic beings.

But… is he dreaming

or are they real?

Baroness’ dressing and promenade

Every morning, long is the preparation for a servant to help the Baroness dress: it takes a lot of patience and, above all, a big range of choices...

Under a great blue umbrella, the Baroness appears to people, accompanied by her faithful servant, always careful to accomplish every order of his master…

The jewels’
revolt

Very ugly but very vain, the Baroness always wears an enormous number of necklaces and joys.

But getting away these playthings is not as easy as it seems...

Cocorito:
the exotic
parrot!

Exotic: the password of the Eighteenth Century in Europe! New objects, manufactured articles and never seen before animals arrive from the mysterious Orient!

The Baroness possesses a coloured, wonderful, funny parrot: he repeats everything she says… well, almost everything.

Repentance and confession

It is not easy, in a facetious and capricious period as Baroque, to be good and compassionate.

But the severe Cardinal deals to recover and save souls that transgress over and over again…

Singing challenge

Castrates: the stars of Baroque.

Are their voices human or divine?

Vain and capricious, they sing to adoring crowds, amazed by their vocal abilities.

But there is not enough space for two Castrates on the same stage….
